KEOLABS' Accredited for E-driving License Certification

ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation validates services and extends scope to international driving licenses

Salon-de-Provence, FRANCE - December 19, 2013 – KEOLABS announced today the re-accreditation of the Certification Center (formerly Soliatis Lab) as a smart card conformance testing laboratory under the ISO/IEC 17025 standard by the COFRAC. This renewal validates KEOLABS' certification services for e-driving licenses under French, European Union and international ISO/IEC 18013-4 standards. It also re-accredits a range of certification services covering contactless smart objects under the ISO/IEC 10373-6 and ICAO standards.

KEOLABS’ Certification Center offers smart object conformance testing services to customers worldwide. The laboratory was first accredited in 2009 as Soliatis Lab. Since then, it has continuously grown the scope of its capabilities and credentials to cover smart card and reader conformance testing under a range of functional and application standards.

"This latest re-accreditation allows us to extend our conformance testing services to electronic driving licenses. These services cover the relevant International, European and French standards including ISO/IEC 18013-4 and the ANTS test methods," explained Denis Manceau, KEOLABS Certification Center Manager. These services are pertinent to component and card producers who are supplying the growing number of countries that are currently deploying electronic driving licenses.

The COFRAC re-accreditation covers ISO/IEC 14443 smart cards conformance testing at all levels of implementation under the ISO/IEC 10373-6 standard, which is common to their use in a wide range of applications including identity, fare collection and payments. It also covers conformance testing under the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standard for electronic passports.
