Smart Card Testing Platforms

Test platforms to emulate reader to card signals and analyze card responses, spy platforms to capture and analyze signals between card and reader

 

KEOLABS provides test platforms and solutions for validating both contactless and contact smart card technologies used in a range of application areas including identity (epassport, drivers license), fare collection for public transportation, access control and payment to name a few. Supported testing functionalities on these platforms include:

  • Reader signal emulation at digital and analog/electrical levels
  • Non-intrusive signal capture and protocol analysis (a.k.a. Spy capability)

Platforms allow validation of a range of technologies including NFC, ISO14443, FeliCa (ISO18025), ISO15693 contactless (13.56 Mhz) protocols and SWP (HCI/HDLC), ISO7816, SPI and I2C contact protocols. Platform configuration and control can be done via a dedicated software interface (RGPA - Real Time Protocol Analyzer), or scripting (Python, JScript, ...) which allows users to define and execute sequences of signals in specific, automated scenarios.
