KEOLABS first qualified for EMVCo Mobile Type Approval 3.0b1


As a leading provider of test tools, KEOLABS is pleased to announce that its test bench is the first qualified by EMVCo for the latest test specification 3.0b1

 

02 November 2022, Montbonnot, FRANCE – EMVCo is a technical body composed of six of the largest payment networks worldwide: Amex, Discover, JCB, Mastercard, UnionPay, and Visa. Its mission is to facilitate the worldwide interoperability and acceptance of secure payment transactions by managing and evolving the EMV® Specifications and related testing processes.

 

EMVCo is continually improving its set of test protocols for cards, mobiles and readers used in payment transactions, and recently it has updated its Mobile L1 Approval process to allow passive mobile devices (powered by PCD field) to obtain an EMVCo Letter of Approval attesting their compliance to the EMV® Contactless Interface Specifications.

 

KEOLABS has just received its LoQ (Letters of Qualification) ensuring the compliancy with the latest specification: EMV® Mobile Product Level 1 Type Approval – Mobile L1 Test Guidelines version 3.0b1.

For certification laboratories, this Mobile v3.0b1 Test Plan will be activated on January 1st, 2023. Before this date, the laboratories can already complete the update to this new version in order to be ready on the scheduled date.
