THAMES selects KEOLABS for EMVCo conformance testing

Thames Technology, a payment card specialist, has selected KEOLABS’ test tools for EMVCo Level 1 automated testing.

22 February 2023, Montbonnot, FRANCE THAMES Technology, based in Rayleigh (UK) and part of the Paragon ID group, is a payment and loyalty card specialist, and one of Europe’s largest and most trusted card issuing partners. THAMES Technology has selected KEOLABS test solutions to ensure that their banking cards comply with the EMVCo international specifications.
EMVCo is a technical body composed of six of the largest payment networks worldwide: Amex, Discover, JCB, Mastercard, UnionPay, and Visa. Its mission is to facilitate the worldwide interoperability and acceptance of secure payment transactions by managing and evolving the EMV® Specifications and related testing processes.

“We have invested in a fully automated solution including a robot to speed up our testing process,” said Che Colford, General Manager at THAMES. “We appreciated the support provided by KEOLABS’ team during the training and installation session held at our premises”.

This choice was driven by strategic and technical reasons. One of them is the fact that KEOLABS test solutions are deployed in the main validation laboratories in the world, which means that the engineers of THAMES are now able to check by themselves the conformance of their cards, and then be very confident when they will perform the official validation session at an EMVCo laboratory.

“It is a great honor for KEOLABS to enter into this collaboration with THAMES,” said Christophe Rabaud, CEO at KEOLABS. “And they can be assured that our entire team is mobilized to give them complete satisfaction.”
